1:1 draw in Ländle

In the sixth round of the Planet Pure Women's Bundesliga, the FK Austria Wien women went on the hunt for points in Ländle for the duel against Spielgemeinschaft Altach Vorderland. Wucher scored a dream goal early on to give them a 1-0 lead (2nd), but a long-range goal from the home team (13th) meant that instead of the three points they were looking for, they only had one more point to take home.

After last week's derby win against Vienna, head coach Robert Haas made no changes to his starting lineup in keeping with the motto "never change a winning team". Stefanie Schneeberger, however, warned against the opponents from Vorarlberg and stressed that the Altach team should not be underestimated under any circumstances and that they would have to build on the performance of the previous match in order to come off the pitch as winners.

Lightning lead through Wucher

The whistle blew at ten o'clock in the morning in the Cashpoint Arena. Less than 90 seconds later, the Violets had reason to cheer for the first time: Wucher put the score at 1:0 with a dream goal in her home country (2nd).

The violet women were very well in the game and the game-dominating team, nevertheless, they still had to accept the equalizer in the opening quarter of an hour. After a beautiful solo and a long shot by Rieke Tietz from almost 30 meters, the score was 1:1 (13.).

Fair 1:1 break score

Subsequently, the game became more balanced, but the defense of the Altach - Vorderland team had problems with the fast wings of the Veilchen around Wucher and Hajek. The game went into the break with a fair 1:1 draw.

After 50 minutes, the Violets almost had the cry of jubilation on their lips again: However, after a precise cross from Schneeberger, Bauer headed too centrally to the Vorarlberg goalkeeper. Afterwards, the team also had a chance to take the lead: Haidner initially made a save, but was unable to hold on to the ball, and Stockhammer made a last-second save for her goalkeeper, who was already beaten (56th).

Exciting final phase brings no winner

With Cavic (62.), Schorn and Kovar (70.) Haas brought early three new forces into the game to bring new spirit into the game. Already arrived in the final quarter of an hour, goalkeeper Haidner could distinguish herself: A torn shot she circled skillfully over the crossbar (76.). In the final minutes, both sides had chances, but Krumböck missed from close range for the Veilchen (88th). Even five minutes of stoppage time did not bring a winner, the game ended 1:1, the Violets have to be satisfied with a point.
