Coach Christian Ilzer, “It was important to me that we show great mentality and play the game consistently until the end. 9-0, no injuries, a sovereign rise to the next round. We did not leave anything to chance. That was the plan.”

President Frank Hensel, CEO Markus Kraetschmer and Sports Director Ralf Muhr travelled to the 3,000-inhabitant city Köttmannsdorf for the competitive game and from the start they saw a very concentrated Austria Wien and Dominik Prokop who couldn’t help but score. First, the 22-year-old sneaked the ball from 20 meters into the corner (9’), shortly after the drink break, he was on the spot after a pass by Edomwonyi (24’).

Alex Grünwald used a cross by Edomwonyi, who made a great deep run - 3-0 (30’). Edomwonyi almost scored the fourth goal after energetic assist by Monschein (35’). After further top chances for Grünwald (42’) and Madl (43’) Monschein scored the 4-0 after a sharp cross by Edomwonyi (45’).

Austria Wien with great joy and in the mood to score

Monschein failed on goalkeeper Ambrosch after pass by Prokop, Grünwald used the follow-up shot - 5-0 (49’). Serbest scored as well after a cross by Monschein – 6-0 (53’), Edomwonyi (58’) and after teamwork with Monschein Grünwald secured his triple (67’). Afterwards he also assisted substitute Sterling Yateke together with Klein (83’). Lucic parried a penalty shot in the final minute.

For ASKÖ Köttmannsdorf, whose president spoke of the biggest game in club history, the first Cup round has paid off as well. The cup entry prize for the home club and the ticket and restaurant revenue of today will be the budget for the next two years.
